Inspired by the alternative process photography of László Moholy-Nagy and Man Ray, I have been practicing and exhibiting cameraless photography for the last ten years. Originally from Fairfield, Ohio, I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Miami University and my doctorate in Art Education from the University of North Texas. I have worked as a K–12 art teacher, art museum curator, and a university professor. I currently live in Cookeville, Tennessee, where I am an Assistant Professor of Art Education at Tennessee Tech University. I teach classes on the intersections of art and science and on the pedagogy of teaching and communicating the visual arts.
